Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohammad Khazayee in a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council members condemned Israel's war rhetoric against Tehran, and warned that Iran reserves the right to give an immediate and crushing response to aggressors.

"The Zionist regime high-ranking officials' provocative remarks about attacking Iran are against the regional and international peace and security; Zionist regime prime minister's remarks about Iran's peaceful nuclear activities on November 5 are a clear violation of international rules and regulations," the letter said.

In the meantime, the high-ranking official warned Tel-Aviv that Iran's response to any kind of raid will be immediate and crushing for the Zionist entity.

"The UN should condemn the anti-Iranian remarks by the officials of the occupying force of Zionist regime which has an incomparable record of crimes against humanity and is the only regime with nuclear bombs in the Middle East."

Khazayee added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never attacked any country and would never raid any state, but based on Article 51 of the UN Charter which stresses the right of countries to engage in self-defense, Tehran reserves the right to give immediate and crushing response to any foreign attack.

"Any country or group of countries which would begin a war should be responsible for its consequences," he said, asking the UN Secretary General as well as the UN Human Rights Council to register the letter as an official UN document.

Israel and its close ally the United States accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, while they have never presented any corroborative document to substantiate their allegations. Both Washington and Tel Aviv possess advanced weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear warheads.

Iran vehemently denies the charges, insisting that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. Tehran stresses that the country has always pursued a civilian path to provide power to the growing number of Iranian population, whose fossil fuel would eventually run dry.

The Zionist regime has recently intensified its war rhetoric against Tehran, warning that it plans to hit Iranian nuclear facilities.

Iran has, in return, warned that it would target Israel and its worldwide interests in case it comes under attack by the Tel Aviv.

The United States has also always stressed that military action is a main option for the White House to deter Iran's progress in the field of nuclear technology.

In response, Iran has warned it would hit the US, Israel and their worldwide interests and close the strategic Strait of Hormuz if it became the target of a military attack over its nuclear program.

Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the strategic Persian Gulf waterway, is a major oil shipping route.
