Russia is slated to present its cultural heritage and national artworks during a festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran in early autumn.

Russian cultural festival is scheduled to be held from August 20 to October 1, 2013, Iranian Cultural Office in Moscow announced.

Russia’s Minster of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and Iranian Ambassador Seyyed Reza Sajjadi signed a series of cultural agreements during a meeting held in Moscow last week.

While both countries established several cultural bridges in their agreements during the meeting, Russian State Library and Iran’s National Library and Archives are also slated to cooperate and share their data.

A delegation of Russian literati and scholars had earlier visited Iran and participated in a series of literary meetings.

The visit project titled Iran and Russia Literary Bridge was held during an eight-day tour in two Iranian cities of Tehran and cultural city of Shiraz in November, 2012.
