The Iranian Army has unveiled its latest three new telecommunications, air defense and simulator achievements.

At a Saturday ceremony attended by Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan, Fadak walkie-talkie, Sahand-3 multiple rocket launcher and T-72 Tank simulator were put on display.

According to Brigadier General Seyyed Masoud Reza Zavarei, the head of the Army Ground Forces research and self-sufficiency body said all three equipments have been designed and manufactured by Iranian experts.

Earlier on Thursday, Iran unveiled a number of indigenous military equipment, including a stealth unmanned aerial vehicle, two missile systems and a mobile electronic interception system, on the occasion of the country’s Army Day.

Over the past years, Iran has made important breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.

On Tuesday, Iran’s Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Bokaei said the Islamic Republic has successfully test-fired a land-to-sea ballistic missile in the Persian Gulf.

He noted that the missile was a modified model of a surface-to-surface missile.
