Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined the importance of participation in the International Quds Day rallies, and said the devil front was isolated in the global Quds demonstrations.

Ahmadinejad said the International Quds Day testifies efforts of mankind and the righteous to restore justice worldwide.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rallies in Tehran on Friday, he said the International Quds Day marks an important day for mankind in which the camp of Satan would be God willing isolated and all virtues would govern the universe.

"Thanks God I managed to be present among the public in the 34th International Quds Day rallies, assigned by the late Imam Khomeini," Ahmadinejad said.

He said this year people have taken part in the event more gloriously than ever.

The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.

International Quds Day is an annual event opposing Israel's occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas. Anti-Zionist rallies and demonstrations are held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Muslim and Arab countries around the world, and especially in Iran.
