Iran’s Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan has stressed the importance of defense cooperation with other countries, saying the Islamic Republic will export defense products to different states.

Dehqan said on Sunday that Tehran will first try to cooperate and share defense experience with its neighbors, and later with other countries.

“We will have cooperation with different countries on a variety of issues including the export of defense products,” the Iranian minister stated.

He added that many international issues can be resolved through defensive diplomacy.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
