Hassan Rahimi and Reza Yazdani of Iran claimed two gold medals at the 2013 Senior World Wrestling Championships on Monday.

Rahimi defeated Amit Kumar of India in the final match of the men's 55kg category.

The bronze medal went to Sezar Akgul of Turkey and Nariman Israpilov of Russia.

“I am so happy because I was unlucky in the 2012 London Olympic. I deeply regret that I could not win Olympics medal,” Rahimi said.

Reza Yazdani also seized the gold medal at the 96kg category. The Iranian freestyle wrestler defeated Khetag Gazyumov of Azerbaijan in the final and claimed the gold.

The bronze medal went to Russian Anzor Boltukayev and Pavlo Oliynyk of Ukraine.

The 2013 Senior World Wrestling Championship got underway Monday in Hungarian capital city Budapest.
