Iranian Deputy Foreign minister and senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi said the recent nuclear deal signed between Tehran and the world powers in Geneva on Sunday secures Iran’s right of enrichment based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Commenting on the US Secretary of State John Kerry's words that "the nuclear deal with Iran doesn't include right to enrich uranium", Araqchi explained that there is some misunderstanding over the issue.

"Iran's uranium enrichment right cannot be limited by other countries, as it is secured by the NPT as well as international agreements," he told the Azeri news agency, Trend.

"We expect other countries to respect this right and accept its implementation," Araqchi underlined.

He added that the issue was included in the Geneva deal and all the G5+1 countries, including the United States, have agreed that Iran can continue its uranium enrichment program.

Iran's right for uranium enrichment was stabilized by Geneva deal, he added.
