Iran’s deputy-oil minister has said the ministry has increased its gasoline reserves across the country to ‘meet the increasing needs of public in the New Year’s eve.’

Mostafa Kashkouli the managing director of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said reporters that the country’s gasoline reserves were in optimum levels. “We expect no issue in meeting public needs to gasoline in New Year’s holidays,” he added.

Meanwhile, depositing gasoline in oil depots has increased the overall gasoline reserves. The ministry of oil issued a report last week to announce that the production of gasoline has soared to 63 million liters showing 3 million liters growth per day. The report also predicted with operation of Isfahan Refinery would further increase this capacity.

However, Abbas Kazemi an official of the Company told that no special quota distribution had been planned for New Year’s holidays, “since there is no need to quota distribution, since our reserves are full now.”
