Mahram basketball team defeated Petrochimi 90-73 on Thursday in the final match of the WABA Champions Cup. In an all-Iranian final, Mahram beat Petrochimi 90-73 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Hamed Haddadi scored 33 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the match. Mahram thus clinched the ticket to the 25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup, which will be held in Kuwait from June 5 to 13.

Jordan’s ASU earned the Bronze medal after they overcame Kahraba OF Iraq 79:65. Wesam Al-Sous stepped up with 23 points for the Jordanian champs.

The WABA Champions Cup, between 2011 and 2012 known as the West Asian Basketball League (WABL), is the West Asian club championship for basketball organized by West Asia Basketball Association, and takes place every year, It also serves as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
