A team of Iranian negotiators left Tehran to the Austrian capital of Vienna Monday morning for a new round of political-level nuclear talks between Iran and world major powers.

This is going to be the 3rd round of such talks, starting on Tuesday April 8, at the UN headquarters in Vienna.

Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy chief, Catherine Ashton, who is representing sextet in Iran-Powers nuclear talks, will meet ahead of the negotiations at a working dinner session.

Iran and world powers – United States, China, Russia, France, Britain plus Germany – had already held the 2nd round of political-level nuclear talks in Vienna on March 18-19 after which Zarif dubbed that round of negotiations as 'constructive and useful'.

Removal of sanctions upon Iran, Iran nuclear enrichment, peaceful nuclear cooperation and Arak heavy water complex were the topics of several meeting sessions between Iran and sextet at the 2nd round of political-level talks.

The new round of expert-level nuclear talks between Iran and world major powers was kicked off on April 4 in Vienna and lasted for three days.

Iran’s senior negotiator, Hamid Baidinejad, who headed the Iranian team during the expert-level negotiations, told reporters on Sunday in Vienna on the last day of 3-day nuclear talks with Powers, told that a report of expert negotiations would be delivered to Mr. Zarif and Mrs. Ashton and their aidson Monday (April 7).

Also Iranian senior negotiators for political-level talks Abbas Araghchi on Sunday expressed hope that this round of talks would be an introduction to bringing the positions closer and entering drafting the final agreement.

On the present talks, Araghchi told that reportedly the talks had been ‘precise,’ and ‘detailed,’ and that “other issues not covered in previous rounds would also be discussed, and we would embark on drafting the final agreement in May.”
