Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined that his government plans to increase its support for the agricultural sector in a bid to pave the ground for the country's economic boom and independence.

"God willingly, we will witness growth in the agricultural sector with government's aid and assistance to this sector," President Rouhani told reporters after his meeting with Agricultural Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and his team of deputies.

Rouhani vowed that the country would witness a major progress in agricultural products soon in future.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in a message on the occasion of Nowruz on March 21 called the new Iranian year as "The Year of Economy and Culture with National Determination and Jihadi Management".

On Saturday, Iranian Vice-President for Planning and Strategic Supervision Mohammad Baqer Nobakht Haqiqi underlined that the country will see better economic conditions and come out of the state of recession after two years.

"After two years that the Iranian economy was in a state of economic recession, it will see better conditions soon," Nobakht said, addressing a provincial meeting in Qazvin province on Saturday.

He underlined that the economic boom will be materialized with over 400 billion rials and 55 billion dollars.
