Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that the only way out of the crisis in Syria is persuading the country's nation from all walks of life to participate in the upcoming presidential election in June in a bid to end the over 3-year-long bloodshed in the country.

In the past three years we, despite all problems, have adopted an accurate and logical strategy on the issue of Syria,” Amir Abdollahian said on Sunday.

He further said those who are against Tehran's policies in Syria will not achieve their goals.

He went on to say that the Islamic Republic has held talks with all opposition groups in Syria and encouraged them to play an effective role in the Arab country following the upcoming presidential vote.

Amir Abdollahian announced on Sunday that Tehran plans to send observers to Syria to monitor the country's sensitive presidential election in June.

"The Iranian parliament will dispatch a team to Syria soon to supervise the election and vote tallying in that country," Amir Abdollahian said.

Earlier this month, Speaker of the Syrian People’s Council, Mohammad Jihad al-Laham sent messages to parliament speakers of friendly countries inviting their delegations to Damascus to monitor the presidential election in that country.
