puty Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian here on Tuesday expressed hope that ground would be prepared for dispatch of humanitarian supplies to the defenseless people of Gaza via Rafah border crossing.

 

Speaking to IRNA, Amir-Abdollahian referred to a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Mohammad Badreddin Zayed on the sidelines of the day-long emergency meeting of Palestine Committee of the Non-Aligned Movement opened in Tehran in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani on Monday.

 

He described the meeting as fruitful and important, adding the two sides also emphasized the need for paying due attention to the rights of Palestinian people particularly Gazans.

 

He said the Egyptian government is trying to play constructive role at this stage.

 

Amir-Abdollahian stressed that transfer of wounded Palestinian children and women to Tehran and dispatch of Iranˈs humanitarian aids to Gaza would be materialized once the Rafah border crossing reopens.
