Iranian athlete Nasrin Doosti won a Bronze medal in the Karata competitions in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon after convincing victories over her rivals.

 Doosti beat her Kyrgyz opponent in the -50kg weight category and won the bronze medal for her country on Saturday.

The Iranian fighter had earlier defeated her rivals from North Korea (10-0) and Indonesia (4-3), but lost a match against a Kazakh fighter (0-4) in the semi-final.

The Iranian Caravan has won 21 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze medals at the 17th Asian Games 2014 and stood in the fifth place in the Asian games table of medals.

China leads the standings with 151 golds and 343 medals altogether. South Korea is second with 79 golds among its 234 medals and Japan ranks third with 47 golds and 199 medals altogether.

The 17th Asian Games in Incheon are underway in South Korea from September 19 to October 1, 2014. Iran’s caravan consists of 282 athletes of which 224 are men and 58 are women.
