The first indigenously-made 412 Class helicopter was delivered to the Iranian Red Crescent Society in a ceremony on Monday attended by a number of senior Iranian officials.

Iranian Science Minister Mohammad Farhadi, Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and Head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization of Iranian Defense Ministry Manouchehr Manteqi took part in the event, the Iranian students' news agency reported.

The helicopter has been built under international aviation standards and rules of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran.

It is made up of two four-propelled engines and is equipped with automatic piloting. It can transfer 14 crews and passenger and can conduct different missions.
