Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei announced Thursday morning that the letter sent by American Senators was a sign of collapse in political ethics in the US.

Addressing members of Experts Assembly on Thursday, Iran's Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called senators’ letter a sign of political morality collapse in the US, stressing that according to international norms, governments are bound to their commitments and those rules cannot be breached with the change of government.

The Leader’s remarks came a few days after a group of 47 Republican senators wrote an open letter to the Iranian authorities, warning them that any nuclear deal they sign with US President Barack Obama's administration won’t last after Obama leaves office, calling the deal a 'mere executive agreement' that could be revoked "with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses".

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the necessity of presenting Islam against the arrogant attempts to promote Islamophobia among nations and reiterated logical management and avoidance from shallowness in reviewing the causes and solutions to existing challenges.

Iran’s Leader rejected passive treatment with the phenomenon of Islamophobia, highlighting that it was the direct result of international bullies’ fear and panic of political Islam and one which is present in the lives of nations.

“Political Islam is currently led, consolidated and strengthened by the Islamic Revolution of Iran,” Ayatollah Khamenei asserted.
