President Hassan Rouhani welcomed expansion of relations with Brunei in all possible areas.

He made the remarks here on Sunday when he was receiving the credentials of Brunei’s new Ambassador to Tehran Abdul Samad Metasan.
He pointed to many potential areas of cooperation between the two countries and hoped for boosting and deepening of relations.
The President further expressed hope for a new round of mutual cooperation in economic, scientific, cultural, tourism and health areas.
He also welcomed a suggested visit by the Brunei Sultan to Iran and said the trip could further consolidate relations between the two nations.
The Brunei Ambassador said his Sultan is interested in visiting Iran to explore ways of promoting bilateral relations.
He also hailed the signing of a nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 and said it will positively affect world security.
