Visiting Austrian President Heinz Fischer said here Tuesday that his country is seeking a 50/50 relations with Iran.

At a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani, Fischer said Vienna is determined to reach a 300 million euros' worth of economic relations with Tehran.
Referring to the last phase of nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers that was held in Vienna and ended with a nuclear agreement, he said the issue opened a new chapter in Iran's relations and those of other world states.
Austria, he said, is an independent and democratic country that attaches great importance to cordial ties with other nations.
He further said his country welcomes cultural and scientific cooperation with the Iranian side.
He added his country makes efforts to implement the bilateral agreements signed today.
About international developments, the Austrian president stressed the need to move towards a peaceful world and region and fight with terrorism.
The Austrian president heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in the Iranian capital on Monday.
A large number of trips have been taken by foreign officials to Iran after the July 14 nuclear deal with the six world powers.
