During the second leg of his Central Asian and Caucasian tour, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is to hold talks with Georgian senior officials.

Zarif is scheduled to hold meetings with President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Janelidze, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the parliament speaker Irakli Kobakhidze and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia.

Participating in economic conference with the attendance of businessmem of Iran and Georgia, signing the honorary guest books in Georgian parliament, attending the lunch banquet hosted by the foreign minister of Georgia are among the programs of the trip.

Foreign Minister Zarif is on a tour to three Central Asian and Caucasian countries. The trip takes place on the eve of the 25th independence anniversary of these countries and 25 years after Iran’s diplomatic ties with them.

An economic-industrial delegation accompanies Zarif in this trip.
