Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif offered his condolences on the death of coal miners in yesterday’s explosion in Northern Iran.

“The horrible death news of some painstaking coal miners in Golestan Province who were seeking the prosperity of the region with their efforts, caused great and unbearable sorrow,” the foreign minister said in his message.

“I express my condolences and sympathy to Iranian people and particularly Iran labor community and the families of the deceased miners,” Zarif added.

An explosion in a coal mine in Golestan Province (northeastern of Iran) yesterday has left at least 22 dead and 48 wounded and entrapped.
