At his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said such approach is unhelpful towards efforts to achieve peace.
At least 90 people were killed and hundreds were wounded when a massive bomb ripped through Kabul's diplomatic quarter on Wednesday. Afghan security officials have claimed that Pakistan intelligence (ISI) was involved in the attack.
Nafees Zakaria said Pakistan itself has suffered immensely from terrorism and it has given unparalleled sacrifices in the war on the menace.
He said Pakistan has the highest stakes in Afghan peace and stability more than any other country of the world.
Zakaria, however, said it is disappointing that certain elements which have no interest in Afghan peace want to damage relations between the two neighboring countries.
“They are trying to malign Pakistan for their vested agenda,” he said.
Zakaria said that Pakistan should not be blamed for problems in Afghanistan. 'Pakistan believes in politically negotiated settlement of Afghan issue as there is no military solution to the conflict.'
Earlier Pakistan government and army strongly condemned the Kabul terrorist attack and offered condolences to the government and the people of Afghanistan on the tragic incident.
