Iran’s Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution says the basic national document for reforming the country’s education system is the “Fundamental Reform Document of Education” in the Islamic Republic.

The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution chaired by President Hassan Rouhani met on Tuesday to continue examination of the UNESCO 2030 education agenda and its conformity with Iran’s educational system.

Members of the Council after deliberations unanimously agreed to uphold the Fundamental Reform Document of Education (FRDE) as the high profile standard national document that is going to shape the future of the Islamic Republic’s educational system.

Any other documents in this regard are null and void, members of the Council decided.

In the meantime, President Rouhani referred to the June 7 terrorist attacks in the Iranian capital, saying that Iran since the very early days after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, have had to deal with the sinister issue of terrorism.

“Iran has always been at the frontline of the fight against terrorism,” he said.
