The ongoing crises in the Islamic world has roots in US and Zionist regime seditions and rulers of some regional states’ indifference towards the oppressed people of Palestine, a senior Iranian official said.

Secretary General of International Conference on Palestinian Intifada Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a message released in his telegram account on Thursday.

'Supporters of Palestine should declare their opposition in a loud voice with the normalization of relations between certain Arab states including Saudi Arabia, and the Zionist regime,' he said.

Amir-Abdollahian, a former deputy foreign minister, added, “Muslims should not permit Zionists to use holy lands of Mecca and Medina as their safe haven.”

“US plan for transfer of its embassy to holy Quds is a strategic mistake which for sure will result in new intifada in the Palestinian territories,” he noted.

Elaborating effects of the 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, held in Tehran on February 2017, the official said that one of the outcomes of the conference success is that up to 800 non-profit NGOs are to mark the International Quds Day ceremonies in five continents in 2017 to revive the cause of Palestine worldwide.

Amir-Abdollahian stressed, “The only way to counter the Zionists seditions is to resist until the complete liberation of the Palestinian lands.”

Amir- Abdollahian noted that Iran would continue support for the oppressed people of Palestine stressing that Palestinians “are not far from victory.”

The International Quds Day rallies are held annually on the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan in Iran and other Muslim and non-Muslim countries.

The day of anti-Zionist expression was first declared by the late Imam Khomeini, leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, who established the annual event in order to bring international attention to the Palestinian cause.

Iranians demonstrate their hatred for the Zionist occupiers of the Palestinian territories each year during the Quds Day rallies nationwide and unanimously urge the liberation of the Occupied Lands and make the world hear the voice of the defenseless people of Palestine.
