President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea, Kim Yong-nam, who is the country's number two man arrived here on Thursday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Iranian President-elect Hassan Rouhani slated for Aug 5.

Upon arrival, Kim Yong-nam was welcomed by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour.

Senior officials from 92 world countries are to partake in the swearing-in ceremony of the president-elect Hassan Rouhani who won the majority of votes on May 19 presidential election in Iran.

Among the world's top officials on way to Tehran for oath-taking ceremony, there are eight presidents, 19 parliament speakers, nine prime ministers, seven vice-speakers, 11 foreign ministers and 35 special envoys.
