In a meeting with President of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamaal Kharrazi in Tehran on Saturday, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said that Europe intends to continue with the nuclear deal between Iran and the G5+1.

She said that the deal provides Europe with better opportunities for more interaction with Iran, adding that 70% growth in Iran-Europe economic transactions shows good tidings for expansion of ties.

Kharrazi said in the meeting that Iran embraces expansion of ties in accordance with reinforcing mutual trust, but Iran has not yet received the expected support for investment and strengthening economic ties.

He also criticized the joint statement of the US and three European countries, France, Germany and Britain against Iran's launching a stellite carrier, saying that the rocket was designed to carry a satellite and not a nuclear or even conventional warhead; and thus it doesn't violate Resolution 2231, so it not clear for Iran why the three European countries signed the statement under US pressure.
