The scandalous human rights violators, war criminals and real sponsors of terrorism and extremism support for anti-Iran resolution indicates its discredibility, Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

“Iran rejects the resolution proposed by Canada on the situation of human rights in the country,” Bahram Qasemi made the remarks Wednesday in reaction to anti-Iran resolution proposed in the session of the Third Committee of UN General Assembly.

He condemned using human rights issue as a tool and also as a selective political means by some Western countries against independent states.

“It will result in nothing but weakening human rights’ high position,” he reiterated.

“Iran has always been determined in promoting human rights and in fulfilling international commitments,” Qasemi noted.

“Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to hold negotiations with real supporters of human rights on developing human rights in the framework of mutual respect, equality, justice and fairness,” he said.
