Iran's Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani on Monday urged the Iranian people to 'pursue their legitimate demands thorough legal means'.

Ayatollah Larijani made the remarks during a meeting with senior Iranian judiciary officials in reaction to the recent protests in Tehran and some other Iranian cities which were ignited by calls of certain social network abusers under the pretext of high prices and unemployment.

Noting that some people may have legitimate demands, the official said that some other opportunists may take advantage of the situation, resorting to vandalizing and turmoil.

Ayatollah Larijani said that officials from the US, Britain and some other countries repeated their previous mistakes by supporting the unrests.
