Iran is the 18th biggest economy in the world, Iran's Head of the Plan and Budget Organization Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht said quoting International Monetary Fund (IMF) figures.

Iranians are still standing by the Islamic Revolution, Nobakht, who is also government spokesman, said Tuesday in a press conference held to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Based on the IMF report, he added, over $81b was added to Iran’s capital last year and the figure experienced $94b growth during the current Iranian calendar year (ending on March 20, 2018).

According to an international instituation, Iran ranked 19th in generating science and is standing on the first place regarding scientific growth, Nobakht said.

Iran has the power to penetrate into the smallest particles of the atom and to travel into space, he said.
