All passengers of Iran crashed plane likely dead: Local official

Politics - All passengers and crews on board of the crashed Iranian ATR plane are reportedly dead, said an official in the southwestern Province of Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad on Sunday.

The Asseman Airlines' passenger plane crashed in the Kohangan Village near the Padena region, 120 Km from Semirom in Isfahan Province, Shahrokh Konari, Governor of the Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Meanwhile, Reza Jafarzadeh, spokesperson of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization told IRNA earlier that 63 passengers and crews were on board of the plane which left Tehran's Mehrabad Airport at 7:55 local time (4:25 GMT).

Earlier reports had suggested that the plane left Tehran at 5:00 local time.
