Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mansoor Gholami says common capacities and experience for international scientific cooperation should be used.

Gholami told Secretary General of Indian Ocean Rim-Association (IORA) that the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken very good steps in recent years for technological development and establishment of economy based on technology.

He said there are almost 200 centers both at universities and outside that are active to support new companies based on science and technology and major portion of the companies and collections, that support science and technology at the level of society, are assisted by the academics and university instructors.

Gholami noted, 'We are interested to share experiences with the neighbors, especially the countries with which we are cooperating within the framework of cooperation organization or union.'

While supporting Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer (RCSTT), he said, 'On our part, we are ready to help with regards to the issues decided on the region and joint works.'
