Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif conferred on Monday with Serbian first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic on issues of mutual interest and expansion of relations and all-out cooperation between the two countries.

Serbian foreign minister in the meeting welcomed the Iranian delegation and voiced readiness to broaden and deepen all-out cooperation between the two countries, he said.

'We are very pleased to hear that an economic delegation accompany you during the visit and this help deepen and broaden economic cooperation between the two countries,' he said.

Iran's foreign minister, for his part, expressed satisfaction over his presence to Serbia and said the two sides officials are determined to expand all out political, economic, cultural and parliamentary cooperation between the two sides.

'I have brought an invitation letter on behalf of President Hassan Rouhani for Serbian president,' Zarif said.

Welcoming removal of visa for both nationals, Zarif said in case of establishment of any direct flight between the two countries we will witness expansion of economic cooperation and more affinity between the two nations.

There exists suitable grounds in oil, gas, petrochemical, mines, telecommunications, agriculture and other fundamental infrastructures, he said.

They also exchanged views in other issues such as expansion of defense, science, technological know-how, culture, arts and academic affairs.

They also closely studied regional and international developments.

After the meeting, the two ministers attended a launch banquet.
