Commodities worth 200 million dollars were exported from the Arvand Free Zone in southern Iran to the neighboring countries as well as Europe over the current Iranian calendar year (ending on March 20, 2018), said a business and investment official.

180 million worth of exported goods were produced in the Arvand Free Zone, Deputy Head of Arvand Free Zone for economic and investment affairs Ali Mousavi told an economic conference on Sunday.

Mousavi said the exported products were comprised of fruits, construction materials, technical engineering services, apparels, car parts, steel and rebar.

The goods were exported to Iraq, Kuwait, Russia, Oman, the UAE, Germany and Italy, he added.

He also said that a memorandum of understanding was signed between officials in the Arvand Free Zone and Iraq in order to address export problems.
