Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday described the Caspian Sea as a center for unity and cooperation among countries.

The areas the ill-wishers wanted to use an a means to sow discord among nations have turned into the grounds for unity, cooperation and coordination, President Rouhani said on Thursday upon arrival in the country after a three-day visits to two neighboring countries.

Speaking to reporters, the president said his visits to Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan took place in line with Iran's constructive diplomacy in connection with neighbors.

In Turkmenistan, he said, good talks were held between the two sides, adding promotion of cooperation in the area of oil and gas was among the topics discussed.

The two sides also agreed to make joint investment in Caspian Sea and share experiences in the areas of technical and engineering services, President Rouhani said.

He further added the related problems concerning electricity were solved between the two countries.

President Rouhani heading a delegation left for Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on Tuesday (March 27).

In Turkmenistan, 12 memoranda of understanding were signed by the two countries.

After Ashgabat trip, Rouhani departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday.

The Baku visit resulted in signing of eight documents on cooperation between the two nations.

The Iranian president returned home on Thursday.
