Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Tuesday that withdrawing from NPT has been predicted in the treaty and the Islamic Republic of Iran will withdraw from the treaty if the other side to scrap the nuclear deal.

When international agreements will be impractical due to illegal acts of some countries, there will be no reason to remain committed to such international pledges by other countries, he said.

Shamkhani made the remarks before leaving Tehran to Sochi in Russia on Tuesday.

The aim behind setting up international agreements and pledges is to help restore stability and security in the world in order to prevent unilateral measures of the so-called powerful countries, Shamkhani said.

In NPT, member-countries are authorized to withdraw from the treaty in case their interests to be threatened, he said.

On recent measures of the Zionist regime in the region, he said when a regime authorizes itself to invade the airspace of another country in order to target those fighting against terrorists should be accountable to the consequences of its measures, Shamkhani said.

Punishment of the invader is decisive but its time, place and method of retaliation to such wickedly act will be in the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added.

The Zionist regime should pay for its misdeeds as era of bullying is over, Shamkhani said.

Sochi is to host the ninth top security officials from five continents.
