Iranian Minister of Agriculture-Jahad Mahmoud Hojjati is to attend the FAO Regional Conference for the Near East slated for Thursday in this Italian capital.

 Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is holding the 34th session of the Regional Conference for the Near East with participation of agriculture ministers and senior officials from 28 world countries.

Upon arrival in Rome, Hojjati said the two-day FAO regional conference will focus on the issue of climate change and the related cooperation between the regional countries.

Based on Iran's initiative, Hojjati said, the issue of sand and dust storm has been discussed during the expert sessions.

Hojjati hoped the FAO regional conference would lead to solving the existing problems with the help of member countries.
