The Islamic Republic of Iran would give a deadline to the Europeans to prove their commitment to the nuclear deal, Chairman of Parliament's (Majlis) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi told reporters on Tuesday.
The MP noted that the European countries should prove that they prefer their national interests and the European companies should be committed to their contracts with Iran in case of technology transfer and economic cooperation.
US President Donald Trump announced last Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.
This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he described the recent United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's anti-Iran remarks as 'non-diplomatic'.
Boroujerdi rejected the US accusations about Iran's support for terrorism and noted that the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance groups are legal groups that defend their land against occupation.
