Director of Phases 22 to 24 of South Pars gas field development project said after launching the 1st sweetening row of the refinery the Phases 22, 23 and 24 came on stream.

The first sweetening row is capable of producing 12.5 mcm sweet gas per day, Farhad Izadjou said.

Phases 22 to 24 have a physical progress of 88 percent and it is projected that gas extracted from them will be carried to Persian Gulf coastlines (Akhtar-e Kangan), site of new refinery to be established for producing different products, Izadjou earlier said.

In the drilling section, some 38 wells with a total depth of 4,200 kilometers have been drilled in the sea, he added.

All stages of designing, construction, equipment installation and drilling have been carried out by Iranian experts, he noted.

He went on to say that 650 million cubic meters of rich gas will be added to the production capacity of South Pars.

Possibility to produce 77,000 barrels of gas condensates, over one million tons of ethane and one million tons of LPG are among other achievements that will be made once the phases 22 to 24 start operation at full swing, Izadjou said.
