Gholami said that the current global position of the Iranian universities is outcome of the achievements made by the Iranian academics and their hard workings.
Speaking at a gathering of chancellors and representatives of selected centers for the implementation of a project to advance five top universities and research institutes to international level, the Iranian minister said that this plan needs special attention.
He added that standards related to the project for advancing the five universities and research institutes to international level should be boosted.
He also said that supporting the programs to be done according to these standards, are amongst important parts which should be give special care.
Gholami stressed importance of participation of faculty members in advancing the project, saying the essential grounds should be provided and the mentality should be promoted in order for the standards to advance.
He said that we need appropriate planning at the governmental level to advance the five top universities and research institutes to international standards.
