Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in a phone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday said Tehran is seeking strong and deep relations with Doha.

Stressing the importance of offering the business people and investors in the two countries with incentives, President Rouhani said strengthening port and maritime cooperation and establishing a joint shipping line between Iran and Qatar can accelerate the process of bilateral trade.

Iranian companies are ready to cooperate in construction projects in Qatar that will host World Cup 2022, President Rouhni said.

Commenting on the US withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, the president acknowledged the political stance of the other countries, particularly the European nations, Russia, China, Turkey and Qatar in their support of the nuclear deal and against illegal sanctions imposed on Tehran.

The Qatari Emir, for his part, said his country is willing to develop all-out ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He also appreciated Iran's support for Qatar in breaking the blockade imposed by Saudi Arabia.

Expressing Qatar's opposition to escalation between Iran and the US, the Emir said Doha has always been seeking strengthening ties with Tehran and supports peaceful solutions to political disputes.
