Sarmadi made the remarks in a meeting with Portuguese parliamentary delegation on Monday.
During the meeting, both sides discussed parliamentary relations, Iran nuclear deal, measures taken by Europe to meet Iran's interests, regional issues and the latest developments as regards fighting terrorism.
'We believe that representatives of the European parliaments can attempt for preserving JCPOA and multilateralism by opposing the US stances,' Sarmadi said.
Both sides also reviewed regional developments, fighting terrorism and extremism.
