In the statement issued on Monday, Iran and Oman expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral ties between the two countries while pointing to the continued improvement of the relations particularly following President Ebrahim Raisi’s last year visit to Muscat.
The two countries also emphasized that they are keen on further expansion of ties in the future, calling for the formation of working groups and joint committees to follow up on bilateral agreements.
During the Sultan’s stay in Iran, the two parties underlined the need for expansion of the culture of dialogue in the region in a bid to resolve problems and to consolidate relations among neighboring states in order to guarantee peace, stability, progress of the regional nations.
In the statement, President Raisi expressed gratitude to Sultan of Oman for his constructive and wise policies in dealing with regional and international issues which he said had contributed to a deepening of bilateral ties and had strengthened peace and stability in the region.
Sultan Haitham, for his part, hailed Raisi's administration for adopting a good neighborliness policy in dealing with regional countries, adding that close cooperation among littoral states of the Persian Gulf region would consolidate regional stability and peace.
