Iran FM felicitate his new counterpart in Türkiye

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has congratulated appointment of Hakan Fidan as new foreign minister of Turkiye.

In a message on his Twitter account, Amirabdollahian wrote on Sunday that they had held talks on several occasions and described Hakan Fidan as a professional and wise diplomat.

The Iranian FM tweeted: I sincerely congratulate the appointment of my brother Hakan Fidan as the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkiye. We have met and spoken times and again. He is a professional and wise diplomat. I tell my brother Mevlut Cavusoglu well done.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won presidential race for the third time in a row, and he appointed Fidan to replace Mevlut Cavusoglu, who served in this post from 2014.

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber took part in President Erdogan’s third inauguration ceremony in Turkiye’s capital Ankara on Saturday.
