Iran FM expresses condolences on demise of UAE official

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian has expressed condolences on the death of former representative of Abu Dhabi ruler Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to his brother, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan bin Sultan.

In a message, the Iranian minister expressed sympathy and prayed for the almighty God’s mercy, as well as patience.

On Thursday, the UAE's official news agency WAM reported that Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, half-brother of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and representative of the ruler of Abu Dhabi passed away.

The office of the President of the UAE announced that flags in the country will be half-mast due to the demise and public mourning will be held until Saturday.

Saeed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is an Emirati politician who was head of the Abu Dhabi Ports Organization, deputy minister of planning, and member of the executive council of Abu Dhabi.
