President Hassan Rouhani said in his live televised speech late on Monday the committee set up to probe Sanchi incident will continue its investigations until the reason why it occurred is made clear.

Major key points in his televised speech are as follows:
-Sanchi incident was bitter, claiming lives of all 32 seamen on board.
-Government has set a committee to probe the incident with a special focus on why it happened and what major legal steps should be taken to that effect.
-Government declared one day of public mourning in memory of the seamen who lost their lives.
-Government attaches special significance to making buildings resistant to earthquake, as it has allocated a special fund for the purpose in the next year’s budget.
-Mehr housing project should be completed and the government considers itself committed to bring it to an end by the end of the current Iranian year (to end on March 20).
-The government will provide hard currency needed by people, as its foreign exchange incomes are more than its foreign exchange expenses.
- Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates will not last long.
- There is no problem for protests and demonstrations held within legal frameworks.
- I will abide by my two major promises I made to people while campaigning for the second term in office, namely employment and elimination of extreme poverty.
-Open and safe environment will help promote public creativity and thriving of talents.
-Dust storms is a serious challenge faced by the country and the government is striving to tackle the problem, as several huge projects including planting saplings and transfer of water from Karoun River to the region are currently underway.
-Air pollution in megacities should be tackled by producing quality fuel and replacing dilapidated automobiles
-The 11th and 12th governments took great pains to keep cyber space open for the public
