The July 2015 nuclear deal did reveal the US years-long lies to the world countries and to the public opinions, spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry said here on Wednesday.

'For so many years, Iranian nation tested the flavor of friendship with US with ill-wishing and unjust measures,' Bahram Qasemi said on Wednesday in response to the anti-Iran remarks made recently by US Vice President Mike Pence.

The diplomat further elaborated on the US years-long hostility towards Iran, giving examples such as mounting 1953 coup in Iran and toppling the democratically-elected government of Iran, enacting 1964 capitulation in the country, extending constant support for dictators, advocating the Iraqi executed dictator Saddam Hussein during the imposed Iraq war against Iran in 1980-88, supporting use of chemical weapons against the defenseless Iranians during the war time, downing the Iranian passenger plane in 1988 by the US Navy guided missile cruiser in the Persian Gulf waters, naming the Iranians as terrorist nation, imposing unjust sanctions against Iran for years, using the forged name for Iran's Persian Gulf, putting obstacle to implementation of the July 2015 nuclear deal under the false pretexts of not letting Iran be benefitted from the deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

'The Iran nuclear deal is a disaster and the United states of America will no longer certify this ill-conceived agreement,” Pence said at the Israeli parliament on Monday as being quoted by the foreign media.

Qasemi also said that Iran does not care about the US empty promises which are worthless in the eyes of Tehran.

Despite Pence's ungrounded remarks, Iran has never been after nuclear weapons, Qasemi said while referring to the US vice-president baseless claims saying, 'time has come' for making changes in Iran Deal.

Through a twitter message on Tuesday, Pence had also said, 'The influence of Iran in the region is dangerous. The last thing that we want to see - after driving ISIS out of Iraq & on the cusp of driving ISIS out of Syria - is Iran and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard fill that vacuum. The U.S & our allies are not going to let it happen.'

Reacting to Pence's remarks, Qasemi said it was expected that this American official well understand Iran's effective role in fighting terrorism and standing by the Iraqi and Syrian governments and peoples in counter-terrorism moves not to let extremism and violence be expanded to the region and to the independent regional countries.

The United States is making efforts in vain to utter idle threats in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East in line with keeping the region unstable and serving the Zionist regime' interests, Qasemi said concluding that all these measures are for preventing the Muslims from getting closer and being united against the Zionists.
