Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi in a message on Sunday condoled with Japanese government and nation over deadly floods and landslides which killed tens of people in the country.

In his message, Qasemi also sympathized with the families of the victims.

More than 60 people have been reported dead in devastating floods and the subsequent landslides at a large area in western Japan. The death toll is expected to rise.

Some 50 people are still missing.

A 6-magnitude earthquake also shook a district in Western Tokyo on Saturday night.
