Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov met in Singapore on Thursday when they discussed the latest regional and international issues.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation between the two countries, the latest developments concerning Iran nuclear deal, Caspian Sea and Syria crisis topped the agenda of the meeting between the two foreign ministers.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency correspondent earlier in the day, Zarif had said that the thing noteworthy in the meetings with Singaporean prime minister and all the foreign ministers from different countries was that they were all determined to keep Iran nuclear deal and make use of innovative methods to continue with their economic relations with Iran.

ASEAN foreign ministers have convened in Singapore since Monday for six days to discuss regional and trans-regional issues related to the Association and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
