In an interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Majed Ghammas condemned the US unilateral sanctions against Iran and said, 'We have stood by the Iranian nation and we will continue supporting them.'
The Iraqi envoy described the US move against Iran as a conspiracy against the enterity of resistance in the region, including Iraq.
He praised Tehran's positive role in Iraq after the fall of this country's former dictator Saddam, adding that Iran's role in destruction of Daesh (ISIS) is undeniable.
