Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the condition of anonymity, he said that the plane was a F-5.
The accident happened while landing, he added.
He went on to say that the pilot Colonel Moanouchehr Fattahi was killed in the accident and the other person on board has been transferred to hospital.
The injured person is in good condition, the sources noted.
The experts at Dezful air force base are investigating for the reason behind the accident, he said.
