Gas exports to Iraq resumed

The gas exports to Iraq, which had been suspended for some time due to the damage of the sixth line of gas transmission, was resumed by the restoration of the line.

Iran's gas exports to Iraq started again from Naftshahr route to Baghdad, which had been suspended in the past few days due to damage of the sixth line.

Gas transmission line was damaged from November 27 due to landslides and floods in the Hosseinieh station of Andimeshk city, so gas exports to Baghdad were also stopped, but by removing the damagde line, from December 5 gas exports to Baghdad was resumed and returned to normal. 

The gas exports to Iraq are now being carried out on two routes from Naftshahr-Baghdad and Shalamcheh-Basra and gas exports to Iraq from Shalamcheh-Basra border also serve their normal procedure.

Iran's gas exports to Iraq are about 15 million cubic meters, which will increase exports to about 40 million cubic meters per day if all export plans are operational.
